Trunk opener on key fob

I have a 2019 Hyundai Tucson SE. The trunk opener
on the key fob flashes and unlocks the trunk but
will not lift it. Surely this can’t be to unlock the trunk
but not lift it, can it?

I have a 2021 Tucson Value and my key fob also has a trunk button but unless your car comes with the power lift function (not in the SE or Value trim) you still have to manually open it. Plus you can't open it from inside either
