Could my Nissan have an emergency stopper when oil is low?

Asked by OscarGuru2023 Jul 09, 2023 at 10:46 PM about the 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my sons car won’t fully start and just cranks, we
thought it could’ve been the gas but it wasn’t, then
we checked the sensors and all seem to be working.
The last thing we checked was the oil which was
pretty low so before buying it and finding out it’s not
that, could the Nissan have a safety feature to stop
the engine when low on oil or something else?

You bought a used car and didn't pull the oil dip stick ? Did you test drive it ? Never buy a used performance car as they have probably been beat on
