The economy may go up a bit after the engine breaks in. One persons city driving can be a lot different than another persons results. I have no way to know what your driving style is like, how much idling the car does or anything else. 20mpg in the city is not bad at all.

My first two tank fills yielded 7.2 and 7.4/100 km, I can't complain at all.

My 2018 crv EX gets 37 mpg in mixed driving in warm weather. Cold weather, less. Yes, 37, up to 38

GuruS8WDQ = Damn! You get way more than me! I have a 2018 Honda HRV brand new. Your model is very similar to mine I was looking at CRV'S. I'd be so happy if I got what you got. My sticker I have from when I purchased my car, Says 34mpg Highway 27mpg City, I get 23-24 at the most city, and 26mpg highway, that's with the econ button on. I turned it off and I don't notice much of any difference either way other than maybe 1 mile mpg up or down. I take good care of my car I always have maintained every one I've ever had since day one with oil changes & checking the fluids, plus the air pressure, it can drastically affect your gas mileage. I've mentioned something to my dealership they just said bring it into our service center, there's nothing wrong with the car it's just Honda they make really good engines that run forever if maintained and actually outlast the frame of the car, but they lie to consumers. And the econ button, I think that's just like a placebo, they want you to think you're helping the environment and saving money. It's all psychological and total Bullsht. I guess I should have went with the CR-V.

I’ve had the same problem! 2019 CRV only getting 20-21mpg in town. I’ve heard the same things from the dealership about breaking it in, blah blah. There is a new recall about a gas tank leak though!

my 2019 ex awd crv 1.5 turbo. 1500 miles from new. city driving in Chicago suburbs from 10 f to 45 f weather. 29.5 mpg average. sometimes 35 mpg when engine warm. take a while to heat up tough. lspeed betwen 35 to 50 mph .ast weekend did highway trip. speed between 68 to 80 with 4 adults and full trunk. did only 30 average. noticed sweat spot around 74 mph 2400 rpm. with speed above 74 average mpg start to droping and the eco line on dash was always white not green.

My 2018 CRV has only 7k miles & 95% only my wife drives it. It does 18 mpg & that's pathetic. Our Mercedes E300 does 20 mpg which I drive a lot rougher. I had a Honda civic hybrid which gave only 29mpg. I had Toyota Prius & it gave 45mpg. Honda sucks in mpg & they lie on sticker.

My 2018 Honda CRV give me 17.3mpg in the city, That is more than 10 mpg less than they are advertise On the sticker. This without a doubt my last Honda , Going back to toyota. My question is is there something I can do? Can consumer protection agent help if we report it?

Honda does not lie about their MPG numbers. They are pretty realistic and I can easily beat the EPA numbers. It also depends on which kind of city your driving in. If you are driving in Chicago rush hour for example you will only get around 20-23 mpg probably. But if you were to drive in Chicago suburbs you can definitely get it to about 28-33. Also if you know how to time the lights your mpg will be better. When I drive in Chicago suburbs I can get about 30-40 mpg. 30 if I am driving a little hard and 40 if its night time and I can driving efficiently.

My CRV all-wheel-drive EX purchased new in 2017 gets below 20 MPG in the city consistently. On the highway I get 30 or a little more. These people saying they get 28-33 in the city must be working for Honda's propaganda Department. There is no way! Huge disappointment !

I think Honda is lying. My 2018 Honda CR-V EXL AWD runs only 18 mpg.

Don’t trust Honda about Millages. They are lying. My 2018 crv runs only 17 mpg inside city with no traffic

I just bought a 2020 CRV touring and I get 22 miles per gallon when the tag says 28 in town they are lying and I will go over there and talk to them

I traded my 2017 for a 2020 last month. The 2020 gas mileage is terrible. I was averaging 375+ miles on a tank of gas. Now I have to get gas at 295-215. This is ridiculous. Plus, my 2017 would show a range of 407 miles on fill up. The 202 shows 375. Same engine. Same size gas tank. Same BS from car dealers. I wish I never traded.

Here is an example of one of my mpg runs. Drove about 26 miles in Chicago suburbs in the afternoon I got about 42 mpg city with a 2019 crv ex awd in the summer. This is obviously not that realistic since it was my best record but I've been able to get about 37-40 in the summer weather on that trip and like 35-38 in the winter.

I consistently get around 20mpg in the city with 25mpg combined on 2020 CRV with less than 4,000 miles on it. As a comparison, our Range Rover Evoque got consistently better mileage with a much more powerful 4cylinder turbo.

I purchased Honda CRV Touring in Feb 2021 (2021 year model) and iIt just gives 18 mpg in City and 25 mpg on highways. It has 400 miles on it, very much disappointed with the mileague, not sure this gets any better as I drive more.

I bought a 2021 CR-V Touring suv in February this year. I am getting 25 mpg combined city/highway. I drive 12 miles to town and 12 miles home on the highway. I'm not happy and I called Honda dealership where I bought the car. I'm waiting for them to get back to me. I had a 2013 Crosstour with a 6 cyl. engine and it got way better fuel mileage. I put 91 octane in it right before I traded it off and it got 37.7 mpg!! It was a great car. Had a lot more power than this CRV. My CRV is AWD, so that might account for a mile or two but my Crosstour was AWD too. I wish I had my Crosstour back!

If you want the best gas mileage you need to fill up with Ethanol Free Gas. I get 6 MPG better than Ethanol Gas. 22 MPG City with Ethanol and 28 MPG City Ethanol Free. With Ethanol Free on Highway after resetting the trip computer just before I got on the interstate I have gotten as high as 37 mpg at 65 mph cruise. Honda Auto Engines just like their Lawn mowers thrive on straight gas. There more energy in Ethanol Free gas.

I have a 2021 CR-V Touring and have just over 3000 miles on it. I drive the rural roads on the plains of Montana and only get 26mpg on the highway and 23-24 city. Honda flat out LIED about the fuel ratings on this vehicle (27 city-34hwy is BS)! I have babied my car and rarely even put it over 3k on the speedometer. They should be held accountable because their fuel economy ratings have a big influence on purchasing a Honda vs. their competitors. The car runs great and is adequate, yet the false economy ratings are extremely disappointing!

Depends on how your driving and what gas you are using. Try this for a test. Go to a station that has no ethanol in their gas and use 87 octane. Then go to the freeway or interstate and just before you get on it reset the Trip meter A and B to Zero. Drive about 30 miles at 60 mph and I bet you will see 31 to 33 mpg. When your done doing that switch from A to B with B being City and drive around downtown with the Auto Engine Stop enabled and the Economy enabled and I bet you can get at least 26. I Get about 3 to 4 miles per gallon better with straight gas than I do with 10% Ethanol. I have gotten up to 37 mpg once when I reset the Trip meter before getting on the highway and driving for 70 miles at constant speed without stopping. They key to better milage is the Gas your using, and using Economy especially if you got a lead foot and heavy on the gas pedal off the line from the stops. Also don't forget the AWD is heavier and won't get the same milage as the FWD like mine. (2020 CRV-EXL FWD)

I'm getting 10.6L/100 Km or 22 MPG with my 2022 CR-V Sport AWD in winter in Canada— the temperature hovers between -10 to +3 Celcius. This seems to be similar to everyone on the chat. 28-30 MPG is a scam.
