Jerking feel at about 65mph

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 Nissan Altima is smoking through the
exhaust at start up for 2-3 min. The car drives fine
until you get to about 65 mph then it will start
jerking (best way i know how to explain it) the first
time it jerked the service engine light blinked on
and off but stayed off. Does anyone know what
this could be? Can I take to Auto zone to check for
codes without the service engine light on? Please
any information would be helpful.

White smoke when the weather is cold is completely normal. I would go ahead and take the car in and try to get the codes read. I am guessing that you have an ignition miss but the codes will tell. Sometimes you have to drive it until the codes set.

Yes you can if the service light comes on there should be a code stored, they will pull any for free at Auto Zone, post them here for help...
