Alternator won't charge the battery

Asked by GuruSC6FG May 27, 2019 at 03:53 PM about the 2004 Nissan Maxima SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the alternator and tenser pully. Diffrentt
battery. The car will run till the battery dies then it
dies. It's an 04 Nissan Maxima. I have no clue what
it could be any help is greatly appreciated.

There may be and issue with the ECM,it controls charging through it,

You will need to check for code,s usually when the ecm is bad it will throw numrous codes or none at all,

ALL so have the new alternator checked,it is possible it is a bad one.

It is throwing codes I'll post when I can find the paper where i wrote it on.

The alternator is putting out 12 volts. When you turn on the air it drops down to 11.25 volts.
