My car doesn't start, battery is fine. Computer replacement inquiry.

Asked by bonritesh Mar 04, 2015 at 02:25 PM about the 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car doesn't start even after having fixed the sensors(air, crank). This new mechanic
says it could be the computer. I don't know how much it's going to cost me now. My
question is: can I buy a computer off the Internet or a junkyard for the same model and
will it be compatible? Or is it more complicated than that?

Sure you can. eBay used from $50 to $80 and new $225 http://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/electronic_control_unit/nissan/sentra.html
