Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so i would be driving down the road then go to stop or slow down and after the gas pedal wouldnt work nor
would the car accelerate. so i pull over and turn the car off but then when i try to restart it, it acts like the battery is
dead and wont crank over or restart but the battery is only 3 months old. sometimes it would start back but the
lights would be dim in the car and still the car wouldnt accelerate what so ever. what causes this problem?

i would have my alternator checked for how many volts it's putting out sounds like it may not be putting out enough to charge the battery.

yea its not chargin the battery jus checked it a min ago with a volt meter. so does this mean the alternator needs to be replaced?
