2003 nissan altima flashing engin light

THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SOME TIME WITH NO PROBS. TODAY IT STARTED FLASHING AND THE CAR STARTED RUNNING ROUGH. THOUGHTS?

you have a missfire thats why the engine light is flashing. you probally have a bad coil. my advise would be go to auto zone or any parts store that will scan your vehicle for you the code should be P0301-P0304 301 is cylinder 1 and so on i would buy that coil and a set of spark plugs

I have a 2003 Nissan Altima with the same issue as SYANKEY but my engine light blinks and then when I stop it goes out. Any suggestions as to how I find out which coil pack is bad?

go to auto zone,they will scan it for free,dont buy any parts,just ask them for a print out of the scan,take it to your mechanic,let him read the scan,it will have several possable problems on it,mechanic can check and fix the problem.
