What down this message mean? PLEASE INSERT USB

A message "PLEASE INSERT USB" appears on radio screen.  It comes off
when pushing the front reset bottom but then it shows again.  What can I do?

And no, a USB is not your hootie. Stop by the dealership or open the owner's manual.

Everybody knows what a USB is. Now, why does that message appear on the radio? Evidently there is a problem with my radio. Nobody needs a USB in order to turn the radio on. Unfortunately I don't see anything on the manual about this message.

I got the exact same problem with my 2020 Elantra. I downloaded an update from the Hyundai website and put it on a USB. With the USB in the screen then cycles through blank screens, the company logo, and whatever this is. It reads, USB Inserted USB Directory OK file open error IMAGE upgrade NG FONT upgrade NG
