2020 chevypush to talk with S9 issues

Asked by GuruKLV3Y Dec 08, 2019 at 11:44 AM about the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox 1.5T LT AWD

Question type: General

My new 2020 Equinox doesn't work like my 2017 when it comes to activating
the phone using the push-to-talk button. I had no issues in previous car. I
would just press the button and the car would wait for me to say "call" person
from my contact list. Now it does nothing. When I look at the phone after
pressing the button I see there are 2 options, Google or Bixby. Neither is
what I want. What can be done?

Visit your local Chevrolet Dealer where you bought the vehicle. I'm sure they'll be able to explain this to you. Jim

when we took our 2020 equinox back to the dealer for this same problem they told us this was because we had an android phone, The solution they gave was that we needed to keep the phone plugged in and unlocked. Did GM seriously design a system that wouldn't work with 75% of the phones in the country?
