I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE that shut off and started back up
I was driving my car down the highway and went to turn off to the store then my car shut off so I put it in park and it
started right back up. I can feel a little pull when I drive but don't know. Can some one give me an idea of what this
problem is???

I had that happen and I believe it was the camshaft sensor, you should get your codes read to be sure but in my case it fixed the problem (which was pretty scary at the time)
This recall may apply to your car. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Recall number: 03V455000 Recall date: 11/19/2003. http://www.cars.com/nissan/maxima/2003/recalls/
Is yours a 2000 or 2003? This recall is for 2003. Both years mentioned in this question.
My knock sensor needed replacing; as well as my ignition coils and spark plugs. The knock sensor was $22.33, spark plugs were about $25.00 for six, a six pack of ignition coils are $129.00 and all parts were ordered on carparts.com and were mailed to my home within 3-6 days and easy to change. All except the knock sensor because you must have the right tools, but on a maxima it is easy to replace these parts. I looked on auto repair.com and it shows how to do it yourself, and I'm a woman. Hope this was helpful because it happened to my 1995 maxima last month
Ok thanks so much, it turned to be the transmission sensor
