Clutch repair cost on Nissan sentra se-r 2.5s

Asked by Shannon Jan 18, 2016 at 12:41 AM about the 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How much to have the clutch replaced

Mine was $1598.47! Apparently Nissan uses a dual-mass plate in the flywheel, so it could not be machined down. It had to be replaced along with the single friction plate. The install was troublesome as several suspension parts had to be removed to provide access. Book says nine hours labour. The labour was the most expensive part of the bill. WARNING: Do not use cheap parts! The high cost of replacement warrants quality parts so as to not needing re-work later down the road...
