my gear selector is not working

just parked to get something when i started the car my gear selector was stiff it was not working

next to your shifter there is a small hole push your key down into it and it should reset it. You might have a bad actuator lock in the shifter in it causing it to not work. That is assuming your shifter is in the center console area of the car. If it is attached to the steering wheel it could be an ignition switch issue.
