Nissan pathfinder 2002 fuse keeps blowing out to back brake light

every time i go to put new fuse for back break light it shorts out in fuse box in pass side   of engine

One of your wires sounds like it's grounding out on the frame or something. You should first take out your rear tail light. Remove the bulbs and make sure that the sockets aren't full of corrosion or water. If those look good, start following the wires back. You will most likely find one pinched or the wire casing is broken which is causing the ground out issue.
