2002 NISSAN hard to start after putting gas in

It starts up well everyday but every time I
put gas in I try to start it and it idles and
goes dead I have to pat the gas a couple
times just to get it to stay on but after that
it's good till I put gas in again then same
problem

Have the EVAP system checked, the canister may be saturated with gas, or a bad purge valve. This happens when you overfill your gas tank when re-fueling. When filling up the gas tank, stop pumping gas when the pump nozzle clicks off the first time, do not be topping the gas tank off.
