Sounds like your timing belt may have broken. See if you can pull back the cover (if possible) and see if it looks frayed or broken. Next check your fuel pump. Have someone turn the key to the ON position and see if you can hear the fuel pump hum. Touch a screw driver to gas tank and put your ear on the handle. Kind of like a glass against a wall. You should hear the fuel pump hum. Not sure, but I don't think a bad clutch switch will kill the engine like that.

You might be right. I recently changed my timing belt and tension Pulley and water pump. I took my truck back to the shop because it was making a strange noise that I never heard before. And they told Me to keep driving it and if it continues to bring it back. I just completely forgot about it. I been so busy whit work that I completely forgot about the noise.

And do you think that the shop is at fault. And what kind of damage do I have . If the timing belt felt off . Is just off matter off putting it back is it That simple???

If they did the work then yes, they should be at fault. The bad thing is, if you have what they call an "interference" engine, you may have bent your valves if the belt did break or come apart. If you have a non interference, then it should be an easy fix. I know my old Toyota had the interference engine, and when the belt went, it was a major repair job. I just looked up your year truck and it does have the interference engine. Lets hope it was your fuel pump...............

Thank you for taking the time to answer me. Hope you are right And it is just the fuel pump. Thx

Pull the distributor cap and have someone crank the engine, if the rotor does not turn then your timing belt is broken. Good luck, the belt broke in my interference engine and did not do any damage. Double overhead cam timing belt is a trick to replace.
