My 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE with 95K miles has a loud noise that appears to be coming from the timing chain, any idea what remedies are available out side of part replacement?

Yes, sell your car and replace it with something other than a Nissan... they're producing INCONSISTENT quality....
Once they start to go, isn't much of a remedy other than replacing it. Most likely you are hearing the tensioners, but you may as well replace the timing chain and sprockets too.
I thought that "timing chains" were supposed to last the life of the car??? Obviously, this isn't true and if I were you, I would find another vehicle..
How much is this going to cost? Usually, timing chains are much harder and more expensive to replace than a timing belt...
