Nissan Maxima 2000 wont stay on

Asked by 6ixteens Feb 23, 2019 at 10:37 PM about the 2000 Nissan Maxima SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have just started fixing up a 2000 Nissan Maxima
5 speed. I have already replaced the alternator,
battery, ignition coils and spark plugs. However, the
car will only stay on when jumper cables are
connected. Without the cables, the car will not stay
on for more than a few seconds. Any idea what
else could be the issue?

You might have bought a bad alternator or a loose wire connection between your alternator and battery.
