Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 maxima and she cranks but won't start, this
just started happening maybe a week ago but before that
she was starting perfectly everytime I try to start it I smell
gas could this be a flooded engine?

The engine being flooded would depend on how much you tried to start it. Sounds like there is no spark. If you can find someone with a scanner, have the vehicle scanned for any trouble codes. Other wise its taking off the coil, and ignition control module to have them tested. So check for spark.
