Tony thank you for the answer. I think I figured out why Hyundai set it up this
way. Suppose two people are in the car talking about a 3rd person who is not
in the car and they are saying something they do not want this 3rd person to
know about, such as a surprise birthday party for this 3rd person. Just by
coincidence, this 3rd person happens to call the driver of the car and the call
automatically goes into Privacy Mode. The 3rd person they are talking about
CANNOT HEAR them until the driver presses the Call Button on the Steering
Wheel. So this can be a Good Feature under these circumstances. The only
drawback is you need to glance at the screen to see that a call has come thru
and is in Privacy Mode or you need to listen closely to hear that person yelling
HELLO, HELLO, HELLO at which point you can press the Call Button on the
Steering Wheel to accept the call. Of Course, it could also be a Robo-Call and
you can push the hang-up Button on the wheel to get rid of them or just let
them YAK until they get tired and hang up.
