Hond Civic Hybrid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid CVT. It is a wonderful car but lately I have been having a problem. The car is sending a IMA light, SRS light, engine light, battery light and a lamp light. So basically it is sending all the lights. We took it to the Lodi dealer to have it diagnosed and it was there for nearly 3 days. After 3 days they told us that nothing is coming up in there computer system but after talking to the technician they said that it MIGHT (they are not %100 sure) be the drive plate, IMA Communication Sensor ( which is under warranty but they would not change it because they said we have to change the flywheel first), and the MCM (Motor Control Module. So none of these things they know for sure. They are Just making random guesses and trying to make us pay over $4,700. So we took it to another place to have it checked and the guy over there said the car has no problems.  He said to get it checked by someone who knows more about the car. Sometimes when i start the car the IMA light leaves and it starts charging and assisting the car but after a while of driving or when the IMA battery is full. It gives the IMA light again. And all the time the Engine light never leaves. Lately the car has gotten worse because it Just started shutting down and not starting again. And that was because the IMA light would not leave so the car has absolutely no power to give to the 12 volt battery. Please if someone knows how to fix this car or if you have any ideas how to fix this car and how to get the IMA light and the engine light away than please let me know. Thanks....

Well we finally figured out the problem. I took the civic hybrid over to the dealers again and they fixed the IMA communicator sensor which was under warranty. It took almost 3 days because the bolts were rusted. But Once they replaced the Sensor the car automatically got good. No IMA lights, no Engine light, no Battery light and no lamp light. Only the SRS light was left because that was for the airbags but we could erase that code ourselves. So I have been driving it for over 2 weeks now and no LIGHTS!!!!! The IMA motor communication sensor has a 15 year warranty and would end in January 2019 for a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid.
