Alternator ground wire

A shield is not a good ground for a high load carrying circuit, use either a direct frame connection or engine block connection.

What problem are you having ? The alt doesn't have a " ground wire " It's grounded on the block . If you think one is a ground then there's a diode involved and you shouldn't play around if you don't know what you're doin g. That's what I think .
