Radio smelling like fire

2017 Sorento SX.  At about 33,000 miles, while driving, my radio made cracking and gurgling sounds.  The display went to North America from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic. Then it started to smell like it was cooking and puffs of white smoke emitted from below the dashboard.  It is in the Kia shop right now.  Anyone else experience such a thing?

I hope you have warranty coverage!!! Don't burn your car to the ground.
