Question type: Maintenance & Repair
1 -Thermostat is out.....No need for our super hot weather.
2- Have used MMO to no effect.
3- Car has been doing that for the past 2 years, which means, seldom do i
use the ac for fear of making it worse.

Now that is strange. What weight of oil do you use when you have the oil changed ?
Actually, at the moment it has 4 quarts of 20W50 and 1 quart of MMO.
Forgot to mention something important.....lifters making noise ONLY while driving, NOT when idling. And makes the most noise when taking off, although, noise remains, it goes down a notch.

Ok got you. Change oil to 5w30 then add some Lucas Engine Oil Stablizer that 20w50 is to thin.
I´ve always been under the impression that 20W50 is the thickest, therefore was better suited due to its viscosity, but i´ll give a try to your suggestion.
btw...Firebird Dude..thanks alot for your input. The world needs more people like you, dude. Cheers.
which of these puppies do you recommend and how much should I pour in the engine ? https://www.google.com/? ion=1&espv=2#q=lucas+engine+stabilizer+oil&tbm=shop

As far as oil is concerned I like castrol but the other brands are just as good. When changing oil do the same as when you used the MMO add 4 quarts then add Lucas start vehicle for about 5-10 seconds shut off check oil level wipe off dip stick then recheck and add as needed
Thanks a mill. I´ll get on it tomorrow ASAP. Lots of Kudos for you my brother.
