how does the master switch unplug ona 1996 nissan sentra GXE?

with the master switch out of the door panel, how does the wireing plug come out of the master switch socket? i am trying to replace the old master switch with a new one.

There should be a little tab on the wire harness. You need to push this tab and pull the plug apart from the main switch. It may be hard to push if the plastic has dry or hardened but it'll work.

Sometimes the push tabs are thick and hard to push by hand. A small flathead with a little pressure will do.
