12V source for backup sensors.

I recently installed backup sensors on rear and front
of my 2020 RAV4 Hybrid XLE. I attempted to locate
the light in the console fro D & R think that would
be a good source as power to the light is only on
when in Drive or Reverse and off when in park. I
only way them to work when in Drive or Reverse
but the shift lights are LED so probably not a good
source. I would welcome suggestions. Thanks.

You need a factory wiring diagram. This would have been a good job to leave to the dealer.

Well thanks for the advise but $700.00 for rear and $700.00 for front, I think I’ll pass. Decided to fabricate a solution with two roller micro- switches.
