2020 Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid

Asked by Ndarbogast Nov 11, 2020 at 10:08 AM about the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fiancé’s 2020 Rav 4 Hybrids battery died
the other night after leaving it sit for one day
nothing would work, the car wouldn’t even
begin to start. There were no lights left on or
doors left open. We locked it the night before
perfectly fine but we woke up the next
morning to nothing in the car working. The
doors unlocked then but it didn’t have enough
power to unlock the hatch which makes no
sense. The only thing that was working was
the brake lights but they were barely there.
Tow truck came and took it now Toyota is
saying they ran test on the car and there is
nothing at all wrong with the car. Absolutely
ridiculous for not even a 6 month old car.
Anybody else figure out anything wrong?

2020 RAV4 hybrid owner. Dead battery issue. Found T-SB-0095-20 dated September 30, 2020: DCM Reset and Firmware Update (LG) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nU21MIxjotxZjpERv7QsJ1rVKtHE27JG/edit? userstoinvite=%22%22 Had car towed to dealership even though jump start by tow driver worked. Did not trust to not happen again. Sent copy of bulletin to dealer with tow. Service advisor said newer service bulletin just arrived. So we will see if works. From what I can tell from other posts, not all dealers stay updated for updates. Hope this helps
