1990 Nissan 300ZX won't start, PTU?

Asked by Jagreer Jan 08, 2018 at 01:27 PM about the 1990 Nissan 300ZX 2 Dr 2+2 Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased a 1990 Nissan 300ZX and drove it home.  It had no heat, a bad
positive battery terminal and no power steering fluid.  I added the fluid and
my husband changed the terminal.  While it was running my husband
bumped the wire harness and it almost died.  He touched it again and it did
die.  We went ahead and turned it off and replaced the thermostat and when
we went to turn the car on to burp the system, it wouldn't start.  All lights
come on and it wants to but just isn't getting any spark.  I called Nissan to
ask about the recall for the PTU and they don't show one for my VIN.  All
wiring and plugs look good so not sure where to start now to find issue?
