CV Axles

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Alero with the V6.  Somewhere in the life of this car before I got it someone replaced the front passenger side CV axle meant for the automatic transmission with the CV meant for the standard transmission.  Is there any idea what the problem with doing that is?

As long the axle spline are the same, and the half shaft are the same I don't for see any problem. When your driving your car and let go of the wheel if drift to one side. That because one shaft is new and other is worn
