1998 Oldsmobile bravoda

My black ground wire to my negitive side to my battery burnt
so I replaced it now when I hook the positive side wires to my
battery it Sparks bad what do I need to look for to fix that so I
can hook my battery up and start my truck I have a 1998
Oldsmobile bravoda please help me I need to get my truck
fixed asap

A positive wire may have chaffed through the insulation or broken off and is touching ground somewhere
