I have a 1999 Plymouth breeze. The car runs good but I am only getting 13.5 mpg. It has the 2.4 4cylinder engine and owners manual says I should be getting 19mpg. Can anybody help

Do you have a check engine light on? A plugged fuel filter can cause poor fuel economy, a hole in the air intake tube (from the air cleaner) can also cause issues with the vehicle. And lastly when was your last tune up?
