PCM replacement

Asked by GuruV3KF2 Sep 29, 2018 at 12:01 AM about the 2013 Ford E-Series E-250 Cargo Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Ford E250 - 5.4L engine with engine light on dashboard @ 48,000 miles. After making the rounds and several 'don't know' answers, I finally ended up at Ford dealership and was told the PCM is possibly faulty. $1000.00 plus for part and repair. Didn't buy it. Is there a recall or service update on this issue? Seems crazy to be spending over a $1000.00 to get rid of an engine light......at 48,000 miles
