Ford ranger wont start

makes like a clicking noise when trying to start when jumped it want to die idk
don't know what to do

Sounds like a dead dead battery or a bad battery cable connection. Load test the battery and make sure the battery cable connections are clean and tight at both ends. Check the alternator output as well. Jim
Rapid clicking sound is low voltage problem, could be a bad battery or even cables. If after it starts and runs then sputters out when you disconnect the jumper it could be that the combination of a bad battery and an alternator not putting out is why it won't run properly.
