Why is the a/c only blowing out the defrosters ???

the environmental control is not functioning....either a vacuum hose that's fallen off, or a mechanical link is no longer linked~
Yup. Anything from a control door that has broken, vacuum or electrical control its self. Also, there is a vacuum reservoir under the hood that has a check valve that supplies vacuum to the register controls under low vacuum (hard acceleration) conditions. Often, the check valve fails or the vacuum line is broken.

Does anyone know why on a 2005 E250 Ford Van; I installed a new a/c compressor and serviced it and it keeps blowing the rear compressor seal. It builds pressure and pops off, there is no restriction on the line's so I don't know why it keeps doing it.
