Make sure battery has full charge and connections all good. If battery is down, use a charger and get it charged up. I use 50 ma as a generic spec for amp draw. Some may use a little more, some a little less. That 50 ma is .050a, not even a tenth of an amp. Even lo end digital multimeters have an amp setting. As far as too much draw, the first thing I check is any lites on, interior--under the hood--where ever. The best time to check is in the dark. Sometimes a faulty diode in a generator can cause battery to drain. Next, I pull/replace fuses, one at a time. When you pull a fuse and the drain returns to normal, I check everything on that fuse circuit. I didn't quite understand your post, my bad. I haven't had my second cup of coffee, yet.
