You may have weak or old battery.. Also may need your speedometer repaired at module repair places you will find on internet. There is an instrument cluster voltage regulator behind instrument cluster. You might want to replace speed sender on rear axle bell housing. They only cost about $20. Probably would be good to pay about $75 and put it on a scanner and isolate the problem. I had problems on my 95 E150. Universal conversion van and it was speedometer and old week battery sending the trans. and cruise and overdrive into shutdown mode or limp home mode some call it. Good luck!
