Why won't my van start?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In past 12 months, I have replaced MANY parts in my 1992 E-150.  Suddenly, it will turn over fine but not fire.  A few days later, I was successful in getting it started.  Then, a few days later again, it again cranks just fine but refuses to start (or even 'cough').  Someone suggested fuel pump.  It is one thing I do not have record of changing.  Where is it?  And is it expensive to have replaced (with labor)?

Ya it sounds like the fuel pump, you can verify by having the fuel pump pressure checked. To have a garage to change this out I am estimating around $250. as the gas tank has to come down to get at the fuel pump, unless there is an access panel to go threw over the gas tank. Then it would not be so labor intensive.
