Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I put in a brand new battery. It starts up fine when cold. After I drive it on a long trip it drags like it doesn't want to start. When i let it cool for several hours it starts right up fine.

Actually, the problem may be your starter. A starter can be affected by the heat buildup inside from the hot engine. I'd recommend having the starter checked out and replaced if it's bad.
