Question type: Maintenance & Repair

have a 2000 ford e250 van with v8 triton motor. today was driving and all of a sudden my ac wouldnt blow on high, then the guages all fell to the bottom, including speedometer. then they would stop then do it again. after trying to get it to the house, it just died. Wont start, not a click or anything. went and towed it to the house and now it sounds like the battery is dead. would click a couple times and then no noises whatsoever trying to start it...door dinger, dings. inside lights come on. before it died it sounded like something was slowly clicking (like a slow blinker light) but couldnt figure out where it was comging from. please help

Check all the electrical connections from the battery terminals to the ground cables.. Best guess without a real proper diagnostic is wiring issue loose cable or corrode ground cable..Begin at the battery 12.6 volts make sure the serpentine belt is enacted too..and work along the wiring.. alternator output at battery 13.4 -14.8 engine idling. Have it scanned for codes after its running again.
