Why is my GTP being a POS

20

Asked by Darth Aug 17, 2020 at 05:57 PM about the 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok guys,  I see a lot of other g6s have this problem
but I know the GTP was special.
Sometimes the car won't start,  won't even roll over
and the dash says failure.  I've replaced a bunch of
stuff including ignition switch,  which fixed it for
about a week.  My next step is the dealer but I'm
pretty tapped out on cash now. Any ideas?

did you hook up an OBDIi scanner to the car yet? Maybe there are codes? Dash says just "failure" no other lights?

It gives me a bunch of codes, all of which cleared themselves when I changed the ignition switch. I'm going to warranty out the switch and hope it was jyst a faulty part although I'm skeptical seeing as how this particular issue seems to be triggered by rain and high humidity. I've checked all my grounds too.
