transmission when shifts from 1st to 2nd is hard and jars driver

only does this sporaticiy, goes away if car is turned off and restarted

No shift solenoids in the G6. I thought that was what was wrong with mine. Found out they don't have them

My 07 g6 gt is doing the same thing. No check engine light, does it randomly and goes away when I shut engine off and restart it. It's weird. Makes me think it has to he sensor related..

I read a comment on here saying there is no solenoids in a g6 well whoever that was is wrong so please don't go by what they say obviously they don't know what theyre talkimg about

My G6 Pontiac 3.5 engine when I put it in drive it jerks hard what do you think the problem is

It's the exhaust side sensor top of the engine on the oil cover ull see 2 solenoids one marked ext replace that

Every car needs shift solenoids. Unless their Manuel's. Anyways it most likely is the speed sensor. If it gets to bad to where it can't read how fast your going the transmission dont know weather to shift up or down. Very touchy tranny on this car. But I have the 2.4 the best of all soo......

I have 2010 Pontiac G6 Eco-tech 2.4 it is also rough shifting from 1st to 2nd. And occasionally while driven 35 to 45 miles an hour not even pushing the gas peddle. The idol jumps a little. What’s going on?
