can't unlock trunk

the switch could be bad. there are two screws that hold it in. remove the switch and unplug it. then take a paper clip, straighten it out and jump from one contact to the other of the wiring harnes. if you hear the hatch unlock the switch is the problem. autozone carries it in stock. plug it in then reinstall it with the 2 screws. If when jumping the wires the lock does not unlock then the lock is bad and needs to be replaced.
