Interested in learning what a fair price to ask for a 2005 Pontiac G6 with a newly installed engine. The vehicle has 119,300 miles, however, the engine has only 47,500 miles. What should I list as a selling price for the vehicle. Thanks!

If the new motor comes with a warranty, I'd estimate a private party sale at $4000. If not, somewhere around $3000. (Estimates off of base model)
How would you rate the condition of your car? In very good condition with 47,500 miles, your car would be worth around $6,000, see picture below. But, remember, you still have 120,000 miles on the rest of the car, so, I'd value it more like $4,500. Really depends on the overall condition of your car and all the peripherals, tires, exhaust system, electronic, seats, interior, etc. And, what kind of engine replacement. An exchange engine is NOT AS GOOD as a rebuilt or brand new motor. And, it doesn't give a lot of confidence to people that the first engine blew up around 70,000 miles. How did this happen? Is this just another incident waiting to happen in 20,000 miles?
Value with 119,300, see picture
Also, doesn't help that Pontiac is out of business, orphaned car.
I purchased the engine and it was from another vehicle. So, I assume it would qualify as an exchange. An ASE certified mechanic put in the motor and all applicable parts. The vehicle is in very good shape with sun roof, traction control, abs, front and side airbags, and driver seat raising mechanism (slider from front to back).
The first engine failed because it was run out of oil. The vehicle has two brand new tires, two good tires rated yesterday between an 8 and 6 for tread depth, all electronics work fine. The 2005 Pontiac G6 I have is the Base model with a V6 engine. The mechanic who installed the engine stated that the engine was one of the cleanest and best shape engines he has installed. Don't know if he was just blowing smoke or not. The vehicle is running very well now.
It's difficult to give price advice when you don't give any information about the exterior and interior. If it has dents, scratches, and fairly run down interior, you're going to be close to $3,000 if it looks in great shape, let it go for closer to $4,000
The problem with an exchange engine is, you have no idea how many miles are on that engine or what was done to it. So, now that I know that and that your car is the base model, I think the most you're going to get is $4,000 tops, if you're lucky. I hope you are.
