i have a 2005 sunfire GT it will not shift into first what could it be????

Might try bleeding the slave cylinder a couple more times just to in sure all the air is out of it.

I'm going to suggest that a transmission mount or torque arm is not allowing the linkage to put the transmission into the detent~

you know dandy, they are going to remove your avatar because there has to be a person under that logo...at least they unapologetically deleted mine...check back tomorrow...it will be gone~

put a floorjack under the oil pan (with a piece of wood in between)...take 'er up 3/4 of an inch and you'll see the splitting engine mount and transmission mounts a wonky~

I'm quite sure that you'll be able to represent...if it doesn't seem flattering to you get telephoto and have someone take your picture at the longest possible focal length so the plane of perspective is flattened (your big honkin' nose will be flat against your face that way [akira kuroswawa used this in all his pictures]...download GIMP 2.0 (free) and use it to size it correctly and give it "meat" 200dpi instead of 72 and resize it to a picture size 5" wide~ a concerned "really care about your car, and it's problems" look would be keen~
