pontiac sunfire 2004

Have a pontiac sunfire 2004.When i put key to start. it wont start and just the oil and
water light comes on.

Assuming the battery is good - Have a friend gently knock on the starter with a hammer while you try to start the car. If nothing happens, check for power at the starter with the key in the start position. If you have power, the starter is bad. If no power, it's down to the wiring harness, fuses, ignition switch, or security system.
