Passenger side headlight keeps melting the socket. What is wrong?

I have replaced the headlight socket 4 times. This last time it had a major
meltdown. I put another new socket and bulb in and it works but is very dim.

You have a bad ground wire for the headlight. Look for the ground wire, maybe broken off or just needs to be cleaned up.
