Heater/ac fan in 2004 Pontiac vibe

The fan in my 2004 Pontiac vibe won't come on. I
can feel the heat coming in, that still works. But
the fan won't come on and push the heat out. I've
had the fan replaced but after about 6 months it
stopped. So could it be just a fuze or could it have
come unplugged? I don't want to take it in to be
fixed until I see if I can do it first. The auto repair
place wants to take the dash off to take a look and
that alone will cost me $200! I guess that dash is
a pain to remove. And from what I've read anything
that has to do with the heater can be done from
the glove box. Can you give me ant advise?
