2003 Pontiac Sunfire

Asked by GuruB1D3X Jan 04, 2019 at 08:44 AM about the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The sunfire was sputtering at lower rpms, but
doing better at higher rpm. Check engine light was
blinking and when i got to work it smelled a little
funny, maybe hot. but temp gauge was fine. It has
a fake duel exhaust system. Single pipe that splits
at rear axle with 2 mufflers in back. I felt the pipes
and 1 side was considerably warmer than the
other. Could the problem just be a clogged up
muffler?
