sounds as if the thermostat is not working and is not opening, is the car overheating ?
If the reservoir is leaking out of the top where the filler cap is then you may have a head gasket issue. If it is leaking elsewhere on or near the reservoir then the reservoir may be cracked or a hose is loose or cracked. The location of the leak needs to be found first.
