got 2001 firebird ran great yesterday then today car started running then temp guage went all the way to the limit checked coolant and its brown what to do please need help fast thaks

brown coolant might be an indication of a blown head gasket and the fact that your temperature shot to the limit would confirm that. You could try one of those wonder head gasket seal products, but it's just a short term solution.
usually when the coolant turns that color it means that oil is mixing with the coolant. This would indicate a blown head gasket as Darius already stated. Check your oil and see if it too is foamy or strange, if it is, then you for sure have a bad head gasket. If you do, in some cases it may be cheaper to find a used engine and replace it than it would be for the repair. Check with a few shops for estimates before you decide on one.
